Profile Assignment:

Everyone has a public identity or way of signaling who one is in particular contexts, including the classroom and various online worlds. Think about what you would and would not want to share with your professors, employers, or classroom peers.

For this assignment, you will develop a brief, memorable description of your background, interests, and ambitions. It’s particularly valuable in the online world to accompany this description with a visual icon–a video, photo, or avatar–that in some way illustrates or complements this text.

Your Profile will become an important part of the ePortfolio of your work that we’ll be developing this term. I t should be relatively short (something between 3-8 sentences) and shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to prepare.

  1. Create a page and name it something like: About Me, or Who I am, or All About Me!—something that is adult and clear and appropriate for the academy to indicate this is your profile section.
  2. Add your 3-8 sentence text portion to the page.
  3. Add your icon, video, photo, or avatar that in some way illustrates or complements this text.
  4. Play—make this look and feel like your space, not just the given template.  Move in!
  5. Need additional help, UNE has a dedicated resource: Visit the DigiSpace: http://uneportfolio.org/d-space/
